Colleges co-location becomes a reality

A £90million college co-location development is taking shape on Deane Road in the heart of Bolton town centre. The development will see the creation of two distinct education facilities - Bolton Community College and Bolton Sixth Form College - which will sit side-by-side to deliver learning in state-of-the-art facilities. 

The work on Bolton Community College started in November last year and April this year saw the start of the work on Bolton Sixth Form College - both colleges will open in September 2010. In addition to the main community college building, work on a separate construction and skills block to the rear of the site will be started in July and will also open in September 2010.
