Environmental support for businesses

Integrating the economy and the environment
Groundwork Bolton and Bury has had great success in proving that the environment is a business issue - even for the smallest business. Groundwork work in partnership with businesses to provide practical support to enable companies to reduce their negative impact on the environment while also increasing their profitability and competitiveness.

We know that compliance with regulations is a difficult issue for small businesses so we've developed mechanisms to help them to keep ahead of the latest environmental and health and safety legislation.

Through our Environmental Business Services (EBS) Groundwork helps businesses to:

  • Safeguard future competitiveness by reducing operating costs and increasing efficiency and productivity
  • Comply with, and keep ahead of the latest environmental and health and safety legislation
  • Reduce the amount of waste, improve energy efficiency and establish the effective use of raw materials
  • Develop the knowledge and skills of employees through a wide range of accredited and non accredited training
