Gov.UK  Business Finance and Support Finder
Allows you to search for schemes tailored to your business area.  The database contains schemes run by both central and local government and some private organisations.  Services range from advice through to practical involvement with projects.

The Carbon Trust Green Business Fund
The Carbon Trust Green Business Fund is a energy efficiency support service for small and medium-sized companies in England, Wales and Scotland. It provides direct funded support through energy assessments, training workshops, equipment procurement support and up to £10,000 capital contribution per company towards your energy saving equipment purchase.

British Business Bank
The British Business Bank brings expertise and Government money to smaller business finance markets.

Business Growth Fund
Established in 2011 to help Britain's growing smaller and medium sized businesses. Backed by five of the UK's main banking groups - Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, RBS and Standard Chartered - they are an independent company with up to £2.5bn with which to make long-term equity investments.

The Greater Manchester Investment Fund
Offers flexible loans and equity investments of between £0.5m and £5m at commercial rates. Applicants need to provide additional funding from the private sector.  The fund is managed by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to encourage business growth and job creation in Greater Manchester.

Greater Manchester Apprenticeships

GM AGE is a grant of £1,500 for companies who haven’t employed an apprentice in the last 12 months and replaces the national AGE grant for GM Employers.  To qualify, companies must have under 250 employees, appoint an apprentice aged between 16 and 24 and employ them in a Greater Manchester workplace for a minimum of 12 months or the time it takes them to complete the apprenticeship.

Creative Industry Finance
The programme assists creative businesses to access finance from a specially selected group of lenders based in England and delivers expert advice and access to free business support.

Creative England
Investments of £50,000 to £200,000 matched 50/50 by funding from the applicant company. Various funds are available including investment in small or medium enterprises (SME’s) who are in an advanced stage of developing and commercialising digital products for the healthcare sector. Each investment will be made on commercial terms as either a revenue share, business loan or equity investment.
